Technology Enhanced Teaching & Learning
Our approach always starts with teaching and learning. We are committed to providing teachers with access to reliable and intuitive technology which will help them deliver exciting and relevant learning experiences in lessons and through ICT enhanced projects.
Gaia is fully signed up to the principles of the new DfE Standard for Teachers Professional Development (2016)
Effective teacher professional development is a partnership between:
- Headteachers and other members of the leadership team;
- Teachers; and
- Providers of professional development expertise, training or consultancy.
In order for this partnership to be successful:
- Professional development should have a focus on improving and evaluating pupil outcomes – we focus on better learning outcomes using ICT
- Professional development should be underpinned by robust evidence and expertise – we utilise research evidence, our sector knowledge and best practice to shape our provision
- Professional development should include collaboration and expert challenge – we work as a developmental partner with schools, academies and colleges
- Professional development programmes should be sustained over time – Gaia is committed to long term partnership and sustained programmes of CPD And all this is underpinned by, and requires that:
- Professional development must be prioritised by school leadership – our senior educationalists plan provision directly with school leaders
Innovation and Partnership
At the heart of our approach lies commitment to focus on sustained developmental partnership. This involves doing some things better through effective use of ICT. However, it also involves doing things differently – innovating with advanced technologies and recognising that ICT is driving change in the way that people learn and work.

Gaia can help identify how selection and deployment of of appropriate technologies can help you meet identified improvement goals. We work with senior leaders and governors to secure strategy and, alongside teachers and students, to improve the vision and confidence of users. Ultimately we aim to help you transform the way that people learn and work with technology.
